Reimagining Accor's onboarding with AI and automation at scale

Accor’s onboarding was fragmented across multiple systems, forcing managers to manually coordinate HR, IT, and procurement with no visibility on progress.

I designed OnboardMe, a centralized platform that automates onboarding workflows, generates learning content with AI, and ensures employees are ready from Day 1.

Dashboard showing onboarding summary with 5 in progress, 2 completed, 0 arrivals this week, and 5 tasks in progress. Active onboarding list includes employee names, departments, manager Emmanuel Gonzales, type, progress percentages, and arrival dates.

Objectives

  • Reduce onboarding setup time before Day 1
  • Ensure 100% readiness at employee arrival
  • Improve visibility for managers across onboarding steps
  • Reduce manual requests and operational friction
  • Standardize access management across roles and departments

Methodology

  • Analysis of existing onboarding workflows across HR, IT, and Digital Workplac
  • Identification of friction points in multi-system processes
  • Co-design with stakeholders (HR, IT, managers)
  • End-to-end journey mapping and platform design
  • Rapid prototyping using Figma and AI-assisted tools (Figma Make) to accelerate exploration and iteration
  • Iterative testing and refinement based on user and business feedback
